Fallen Heros‎ > ‎

Paddy, our petite Landseer, was born April 13, 2000.  She started her first life as a Show and breeding dog at an excellent Kennel, Watchbear Newfoundland's in Medina Ohio.  She gained champion status in the confirmation ring and shortly after she had her first litter of puppies.  Unfortunately, even though she was an excellent mother, her puppies did not all check for hips.  Because of that, the responsible thing was done and she was removed from the program and much to our good luck, was passed to us as a family pet.  From the time she came to us, she was a wonderful companion that was able to achieve status as a CGC, Therapy and Disaster Relief Therapy dog.  She gave uncounted hours of unconditional love, and when her longtime house mate fell to a stroke, she watched over and took care of her. Finally, on Thursday, August 18, 2011, her hips could no longer take the stress of life, and we let her go to run and play forever with her best friend, Maggie.  Paddy left a hole that can never be filled, but we are warmed by the thought that she is now free of pain and causing havoc again with Maggie.  She has passed, but will never be forgotten.
